Departures – Atonement

October 5th, 2022

A few hours ago we finished our fast. The Day of Atonement is meaningful in so many ways. It is a day when God’s people draw close to Him. It is a day that pictures the binding of Satan so the reign of Jesus Christ can officially commence on the earth in peace. It is a day that ushered in the Jubilee, a whole year of rest for the land of Israel, a year of releasing people from bondage. It’s a day of liberty for mankind.

Today Lena, Riley, and I enjoyed services with our brethren in NYC. After some fellowship we headed home to make sure our bags were packed. We caught a taxi (actually Uber) to Newark where we easily cleared security, and broke the fast in the airport. As I write we are sitting in our plane preparing to take off, headed to Dublin, Ireland.

It’s already morning in Ireland, but for us it’s time to sleep. We’ll wake up in a different place surrounded by different people, ready for an adventure.
